About GreenFrog
GreenFrog is a software studio based in Mumbai, run by a single engineer with over a decade of professional web development experience before starting the studio. That's still how it works day to day — not agency-style account management layered over outsourced development, but the same person who scopes a project also writing and maintaining the code.
That background is mostly on the Microsoft stack — ASP.NET Core and Blazor in particular — alongside Angular and, more recently, SolidJS for projects where a lighter front end makes more sense. A decade is long enough to have shipped through several versions of these frameworks, which mostly means having already made the mistakes that a newer team is about to make on your project.
How projects run
Every project starts with a scoping conversation, not a template proposal — we need to understand the actual workflow before committing to an architecture. From there, we work in short, visible increments: you see working software early and often, not a single big reveal near a deadline. Communication happens directly with the person building the system, over email or WhatsApp, without an account manager relaying messages in between.
We don't disappear after launch. Every client platform we've shipped — BatteryCompany included — is still actively maintained by us, because a system that stops getting attention the day it ships tends to become a liability within a year. That usually means a standing monthly arrangement rather than a one-off invoice at handover: security patches, framework upgrades, and small changes as the business itself changes.
What we don't take on
Three kinds of work in particular: pure visual or graphic design with no application behind it, WordPress theme customisation, and fixed-scope requests with no room for a discovery conversation first. Being direct about this upfront saves both sides time: if what you need isn't a fit, we'll say so on the first call rather than after a proposal.
Where we're headed
Alongside client work, we build our own products: SamToolkit, a free set of privacy-first developer tools, and GreenFrog CRM, a CRM for Indian small businesses that's currently in development. Building our own products keeps us honest about the stack — we're using it the same way our clients do, which means we notice the same rough edges they would. See our work.
